Vitalii Bobrov

Since January 2020, Vitalii Bobrov has been one of the local coordinators within the »Connecting Memory« project, focusing mainly on education and commemoration. From 2011 to 2019, he was the education coordinator of the »Protecting Memory« project. »For me, this project is an opportunity to support a large number of people on the ground, create conditions for networking and interaction, and ensure recognition of the value of work aimed at honouring the memory of Holocaust victims.«
Dr Svetlana Burmistr

Svetlana Burmistr, a research associate on the »Connecting Memory« project, is in charge of historical research, cooperation with Osnabrück University, financial planning for the project and reporting to the German Federal Foreign Office. »The project and cooperation with Ukrainian and international partners inspire and motivate me and make me reflect on the important issues of remembrance and confrontation with the experience of war.«
Aleksandra Wroblewska

Aleksandra Wroblewska, a researcher associate on the »Connecting Memory« project, is in charge of the conceptual development and adaptation of the project, liaison with partners and initiatives, as well as issues related to the protection of sites of remembrance. »Marking sites associated with the violent death of entire communities is a prerequisite for integrating the history of the Holocaust and the Roma genocide into the collective history of Ukraine. Connecting Memory supports the development of grassroots local initiatives – an important milestone on this path.«
Mariya Goncharenko-Schubert

Maria Goncharenko-Schubert is in charge of the financial administration of the project and assists with the preparation of publications, website updates and language editing of texts. She is on maternity leave from September 2022 to November 2023. »For me the project means preserving the Jewish cultural heritage of Ukraine and preserving the memory of former Jewish neighbours.«
Taras Grytsiuk

Since January 2021, Taras Grytsiuk has been one of the local coordinators within the »Connecting Memory« project, focusing mainly on mentorship and community development. »In the project, I focus on developing a network of partnerships, empowering local groups in small communities in Ukraine, bringing together the efforts of the professional community studying the history of the Holocaust in Ukraine and practitioners of remembrance and public history. »Connecting Memory« is primarily about opportunities for change and collaboration.«
Doctor Designate Tetiana Manykina

Tetiana Manykina is in charge of the financial administration of the project and cooperation with the Aid Network for Survivors of Nazi Persecution in Ukraine. »Over the period of my involvement with the project, I have seen how the network of participants is constantly developing, how much work is being done to preserve memory, and the fact that I am part of this team is a source of support to me at present.«
